We are very proud of training we provide to create the counsellors of the future - and we are just a few days away from welcoming a new batch of students.
Crucially, our courses - details of which are here - are externally validated and accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, (CPCAB).
We still have a number of spaces available on our level two and three courses, both of which begin next week, Monday and Tuesday, September 8 and 9.
Teaching sessions take place at our base in London Road, Leicester city centre and run over the course of a traditional academic year, concluding in June next year.
We had been planning for several years to offer this training, not least to generate income for the project and to help train a new generation of therapists – some of whom may well end up supporting our clients in the future.
Jenni Wallinger, our tutor and student co-ordinator, said: "We’re really excited to be welcoming new counselling students and welcoming back those who are progressing through their studies with us for the new academic year.
"This greatly helps our mission to support women and young people who are in crisis, by creating the next generation of counsellors, whilst also helping with the much needed funds to continue to provide these services."

Earlier this year, we asked our students to write about their experiences of their courses.
One of them, Rose, told us: "I’d recommend New Futures, as it’s a supportive learning environment with tutors who really know what they’re talking about.
"There is a high quality of teaching, and it’s personalised, practical, and purposeful.
"They’re not afraid to dig a little deeper, so you can get a true understanding of what it means to be a counsellor."
Level 2 sessions take place from 6pm to 9pm on Mondays, while Level 3 classes are held on Tuesday, also between 6pm and 9pm.
The fee for the 30-week courses is £800 and we can talk to you about paying in instalments.
We welcomed our first students in November 2023 – an achievement which was 'the culmination of a dream’ for our director, Della Kagure Brown.
Previously, Della said: "Our courses will take you all the way through from an absolute beginner to qualified and studying with us means your course fees will go towards supporting women and girls in crisis.”
