CPCAB Counselling courses in Leicester: Sign up now to join our new Level 2 class

We are very excited to announce the start date for our latest counselling course - a qualification that can launch students on the path to a fulfilling and fascinating career as therapists.
The Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills class will begin on Tuesday, November 10. This course is online and takes place between 6pm and 9pm.
You will find details of this and other courses here on our website. If you think one of them is for you, get in touch and we can talk.
Our courses are externally validated and accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, (CPCAB).
Teaching takes place at our home in London Road - near Leicester railway station on the outskirts of the city centre - or online.
A proportion of our students' fees help fund our wider crisis work with our most vulnerable clients - women and girls living with the consequences of sexual abuse and exploitation.
Betty Highley-Shaw, 27, completed her Level 2 and 3 courses with us and is looking forward to joining us again to complete her Level 4.
“I have always been interested in counselling and, having received it many times in my life, I recognise how beneficial it is”, she says.
“I have struggled with my mental health in the past and suspected I had Autism since I was a teenager, but I wasn’t officially diagnosed until I was 25.

“Starting this course was a big thing for me and I struggled at the beginning getting used to the way the coursework is done compared to previous courses I have done.
“It’s only a small group and we all get on really well. I feel comfortable and can bring topics into practical skills sessions without worrying about judgement.
“My confidence has grown massively, I feel so much more confident with my skills and ability as a counsellor.
“I also feel more able to talk about how my Autism affects me and how I can bring it into the counselling space rather than push it out.
“I have already signed up to the Level 4 course but after that I would like to do some work with children and young people.
“I’m really excited about starting the course and doing a placement with real clients.
“I know the workload will increase but I also know how supportive New Futures is so I feel confident that I will manage and do well.”
Our director Della Kagure Brown said: "We are delighted to be able to offer more places on our next Level 2 CPCAB-accredited counselling course.
"Working as a counsellor and supporting clients to achieve their full potential has given me so much pleasure.
"The project supports the most vulnerable women in society. We provide training which will take you from the very beginning to fully qualified.
"I promise you’ll love the courses, and the project and the women we work with! The New Futures Project is a fabulous place to be.
"And at the end you’ll be fully qualified.
"Level 2 is the first step to a brilliant career. Come and join us and start a new career and make a new future for yourself and our clients."
