We have been steadily building our capacity to offer counselling courses - and we've reached the point at which we are now looking for suitably qualified tutors to expand our team.

Our courses - details of which are here on our website - are externally validated and accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, (CPCAB).

Interest in this studying with us has never been so high and we are planning courses into the new year.

So, we want to expand out team of lecturers, initially to deliver our Level 2 and Level 3 classes. However, we'd love to speak to people who could teach Levels 4 and 5 too.

Teaching takes place at our home in London Road, or online, in the evenings, meaning students and tutors alike can continue to work or study during the day.

Della Kagure Brown, director of the New Futures Project, said: "We are very proud of our courses, and of our student and lecturers.

"We are looking for new tutors who will inspire our students and guide them in what could be their first steps on their path to a fascinating career.

"Teaching the next generation of people to work in this field is important to us.

"We have a wonderful team in place here already. If you think you could help us build on what we have achieved so far, please talk to us."

Speaking last month, Della explained how the courses help us support some of the most socially isolated women in our community, including those living with the trauma of sexual abuse and exploitation, now or in the past.

She said: "Our counselling courses are an intrinsic part of the work of the charity – training counsellors is another way the charity supports vulnerable women and girls.

"We really hope that potential counselling students will be inspired by our slogan and the work of the charity and choose to train with us.

"Training to be a professional counsellor at the New Futures Project supports our work in so many ways.

"All profits from our training courses go towards supporting vulnerable women and girls.

"Our trainee counsellors support our client group directly through completing placements at the charity.

"Most importantly, when our trainee counsellors qualify they continue to use the expertise they have gained through our training within their future practice with clients within the wider community."
