Urgent appeal: Our clothing bank is running low - can you help us restock it?

Our clothing bank is an essential part of the drop-in service here at our home in London Road and we receive donations from our wonderful supporters throughout the year.
However, the cupboard is rather bare at the moment, so we would love to hear from anyone who would like to help us replenish our stocks.
Drop-in is at the heart of everything we do here at the New Futures Project.
Women can get a shower and a freshly cooked hot meal, do their laundry, and pick up some new items of clothing.
We also give them sanitary items and toiletries to take away with them.
Some of our homeless clients take an opportunity to have a doze while they are with us – a safe alternative to rough-sleeping.
Every minute of contact with the women here is vital. We use this time to gain their trust and to put together detailed plans to help them now and in the future.
Drop-in manager Louise Cook said: "Our drop-in offers the women a place to come and enjoy a hot meal, have a shower and get some clean clothes.
"We are always in need of small size clothing, including socks and small bras.
"Donations are always appreciated by us and more so from the women that get to benefit from them."
Recently, we asked some of the women who visit our drop-in what makes the place so special.
Zoe said: "I've been coming to the New Futures Project for years because it helps vulnerable women, women who have been abandoned.
"Coming here gives us peace of mind for a time. Being able to get hot food is important for the women who come here, and I've got a lot of clothes from the project too in the past.
"I love everything about the people here."
Apart from clothing, here's a rough guide to the kind of donations we need regularly:
Deodorant (roll-on)
Shower gel
Dry shampoo
Shampoo
Conditioner
Antibacterial hand gel
Water wipes
Feminine wipes
Tampons
Sanitary towels
Toothpaste
Toothbrush
Body cream
Breakfast bars
If you would like to drop off a donation, call us on 0116 2510803 to arrange a day and time. We are open Monday to Thursday.
We are in London Road, just a short distance up the road from Leicester railway station and parking is available nearby.
We may be able to collect too. Again, please call us for a chat.
